Hong Kong’s delegation celebrated success at the 2026 World Abilitysport Youth Games on June 18, securing a total of one silver and two bronze medals.
Para dance sport made its debut with strong performances. The pair of YU Chun Yin Matthew and CHOI Tsz Yan claimed silver in the Freestyle Combi Class 2 while WONG Kin Hung and LEE Ka Yun earned bronze in the same competition. In addition, WONG Wo Chau and LUI Yee Ting added another bronze in Freestyle Combi Class 1.
In Para badminton, WAI Ian lost in two group-stage matches of the Men’s Singles SH6 (U21), missing out on advancement. He will later compete in the Men’s Doubles SH6 (U21). LAW Ka-Fung also lost his opening round-robin match in the Men’s Singles SU5 (U21) and is scheduled to play another match in later schedule.
Para fencing saw Lee Sheung-ho return to the piste in the Men’s Foil Individual Category A (U23). He recorded one win and four losses in the pool stage, advancing to the table of 32. However, he was defeated in this elimination round, finishing 19th overall.
