2026 World Abilitysport Youth Games Conclude — Hong Kong, China Adds Another Silver Medal

The 2026 World Abilitysport Youth Games came to a successful close, with Hong Kong, China securing another silver medal in Para badminton. In the Men’s Singles SU5 (U21), Law Ka Fung finished with one win and one loss, earning the silver medal. Another Hong Kong, China representative, WAI Ian, partnered with Taiwan’s Zi-An Huang in the Men’s Doubles SH6 (U21). Despite their efforts, they were defeated in the final match by the India/Turkey pairing, ultimately finishing fourth.


In Para fencing, TANG Ching Ching competed in the Women’s Épée Individual Category A (Satellite Tournament) and Women’s Sabre Individual Category A (Satellite Tournament), reaching the quarterfinal and table of 16 respectively, and finishing sixth and ninth. Meanwhile, Lee Sheung Ho and Lai Chi Hang bowed out in the Men’s Foil Individual Category A  (Satellite Tournament) at the quarterfinal and table of 16, placing seventh and fifteenth.
 

Overall, Team Hong Kong, China achieved an impressive tally of 6 silver medals and 2 bronze medals, once again bringing pride to the city’s sporting community.
